 Chemistry (Part 2)


Well now we got a mystery

It is none other than chemistry

Where something seems familiar

But what I hear is so very peculiar.


When Diamond is actually Carbon

And things I understand are done;

Most metals look just like silver

My mind just wants to waver.


What is up with all the isotopes

My brain just cannot cope

Smallest are supposed to be atoms

But inside it exist a lot of phantoms.


When law of conservation exists

But balancing equations is persisted

To solve it is a trickery

Not knowing the answer is a misery.


When you are mentally struggling

And when your answers are shuffling

This is just the beginning of chemistry

Where everything seems to be witchery.

  Chemistry You’ll know it is chemistry When there is a pinch of mystery And when Iron is called Ferrum And lead is called Plumbum.   When it’s Na as in natrium And not So for sodium It’s K for potassium; not a P Things far from what you see.   When the valency of H is 1 The use of that is just done Because the formula is H2O2 Then the world has gone askew.   When inert gases like Xenon don’t react But there is a Xenon difluoride in fact When it gets colder, they contract But water has a whole different act.   When your world is inside out And you mind is full of doubt Don’t worry as you’re learning chemistry There must be some sort of wizardry.   When rules here don’t always matter When your mind wants to stammer The weirdness has just begun Chemistry is going to be a lot of fun.

 PAPER BOATS Flowing down waters, my yellow one Paper creases folded, flowing on Without an end and no clue Not knowing where it' ll end up. Perhaps on the coast of Hawaii Perhaps on the coast of Japan Without, a worry flowing downstream Filled with my hopes and dreams.
